Dr. Cancellieri graduated from State University at Farmingdale NY in 1973. He then went on to study at State University at Stony Brook completing his pre-chiropractic studies in 1980. Than entered New York Chiropractic College and graduated in 1985 Dr. Cancellieri completed a three -year Diplomat Program at New York Chiropractic College in 1996 as a Board Qualified Chiropractic Orthopedist. He continued his Post-Doctoral training at New York Chiropractic College in Scoliosis Management in 2005. In 2012 Dr. Cancellieri completed his studies with the University of Bridgeport Postgraduate Education Department National Registry of Certified Medical Examiner as set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He has been practicing for 33 years in the current location in Melville since he began practicing chiropractic. Dr. Cancellieri has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care. Dr. Cancellieri specializes in Cox Technic that is a non-surgical, doctor-controlled, hands-on- spinal manipulation performed with patient lying on a special designed chiropractic treatment table. The table permits the effective administration of flexion-distraction and decompression adjustment of the spine. It is well researched and documented this relieves pain and returns patients to their desired quality of life. By dropping intradiscal pressure by 192 mm Hg, widening the spinal canal by 28%, reducing pressure on the spinal nerves and returning motion to the spinal joints. Dr. Cancellieri also specializes in many other safe and effective techniques to restore health and proper function to his patients. Dr. Cancellieri has also been specially trained at the Texas Chiropractic College in a revolutionary procedure called Anesthesia Assisted Manipulation which is performed in a Surgical Center.
