Jose Gamarra joined the NY Physical Therapy & Wellness team in 2013. His dedication to providing attentive, high quality, and individualized care to every patient earned him a promotion to clinical director of our East Meadow location in September 2017. Jose received his associate of applied science from Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York, in 2013. Jose has always had an interest in health care and believes in the importance of continued education. He has received special training in a variety of areas, including core stabilization, sports medicine, and joint dysfunction. He has experience treating patients with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, scoliosis, herniated spinal discs, and other orthopedic conditions. He has treated patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, athletes and nonathletes with a variety of needs, including outpatient orthopedic, post-operative rehabilitation, and sports therapy. Jose utilizes a variety of techniques, including manual therapy and Kinesio taping to address joint and soft tissue restrictions, functional movement to assess dysfunction, and exercises to restore range of motion and strength.
